Welcome to DM Decoy. I'm Doug Muldowney and I hope you enjoy my site and some of the work I'm displaying. I've been carving duck decoys since 2001. What started as an enjoyable hobby of mine has turned into one of my true passions.
The decoys on this site are somewhat varied in style and detail, but they are mainly what I consider hunting and detailed hunting decoys. They consist of different construction materials and methods which I describe in the details of each picture in the Decoys section of this site. The construction methods are all such that the decoys can withstand the rigors of hunting. Some of them do get hunted, but many of them are birds that I have or will enter in various competitions. I have a few pictures of some of the Awards I've received in some of competitions I've entered.
